A 31st anniversary may not be not as sexy as a 20th, a 25th or a 30th, but that doesn't mean it won't be every bit as fabulous. What fuels the Festival year after year is one of this country's most valuable renewable resources: writers. They keep coming down the pipeline and they keep writing amazing books. Our producer and programming committee carefully consider every writer, every year, before an invitation is issued. As you scan this website you will see big name writers, others whose names are less familiar and a few about whom you know absolutely nothing. It would be unwise to overlook the latter group. In previous years emerging and lesser known writers have often been the most memorable presenters and, in some instances, the hands down biggest hit of the Festival. We think we have an excellent and eclectic line-up this year and, if history repeats itself, we fully expect that there will be at least one mind-blowing "sleeper" in the mix.
